Hi guys, hope everyone's well...

I was just thinking if you guys have had any hilarious/funny/''out of pocket'' maybe awkward situations that have happened to/with you and your PP or just you while on WAP? For example I'll go first and tell you what just happened to me...

So, I currently reside overseas, in the UK, and today came accross my potential (as I thought at that moment) 2nd PP. Wrote this amazing introductionary letter, was pretty proud of it as it's my 2nd letter written (1st PP hasn't replied yet, bur I am still hopeful lol), went to his profile again to take another look only to realize he isn't willing to correspond outside of the U.S. indecisionlaugh But you know what , I think I am going to be a little selfish & still send it off since I think I've done such a great job with it lol

So with all that being said, share away your funny stories! smiley

My best Regards

It may be ok..he might mean he can't be bothered to write to.people who have English as a 2nd language.but a Brit will be fine..I sent B a birthday card..which got to him before the initial e mail from here...so in his 1st letter he was asking me if " my English was really as good as in the card" as he just saw I was in Europe..then the e mail finally got there , in which I'd told him I'm a Brit living in Europe........I dunno with the guy you picked out.....on the other hand he may be very hard upand simply not be able to afford an overseas PP.....if his profile really resonates with you..maybe you could put $ 10 on his account to rule out the too skint theory...?

Some people forget to tick the box that they're willing to correspond overseas. Other people don't correspond overseas because of the cost. But you can correspond within the United states using services such as jmail if you want to cover the costs.

Lol, that's funny he must have contemplated if he was gonna correspond with a google translate, bless him! & I actually didn't realize language barrier could be one of the reasons why they wouldn't want to correspond. I found most Europeans to speak good English. The money issue, however, was something I was thinking of as to why. I am a total newbie, therefore I am still figuring out how Jpay and all that good stuff works.

Right, okay. I am going to sign up with Jmail! Thanks so much, appreciated smiley

If your PP has jpay at the prison..use that...it seems cheaper than jmail..and you can send a " stamp" for him to reply to you.

I'm glad it looks like the situation's under control! And I hope things work out for you with your pal, Anevay!

Here's a funny thing that happened to me: I've been trying to do this one gymnastics movement called a muscle-up for a while now. Most people at my gym know about this. My coach (aka the one person I trust to give me good advice on this and will ask for advice from when I have questions) and I discuss new progressions and strategies to get me there, but sometimes other people like to chime in as well. One day, two different random people in the gym were like "oh, a muscle-up, you should do 10 sets of 10 pull-ups until you get it" or "you need to get better at chest-to-bar pull-ups first." I got kind of annoyed, because no one likes hearing random advice when you didn't ask for it, but perked right back up when I saw I had a fresh email from my WA pal later that night.

My WA pal is also a workout buff, and I'd told him in a previous letter that I'd been hard at work trying to learn how to do a muscle-up. And what's in that letter but him also telling me to do 10 sets of 10 pull-ups. xD I wasn't annoyed or anything, by then I just found it hilarious that I literally could not escape anyone giving me unsolicited advice on it, but I did really appreciate that he cared so much as to try and help me out. :)

My PP is a lifer w/o parole in Colorado, he's quite down but always tries to put a cheerful face on, and he adds loads of cartoon drawings to his letters, he's actually very talented at them. I said that he should consider making a book/comic strip, and after he got another inmate to draw a Christmas card for me, I suggested that he use his cartoon skills to make cards..... next letter I got had 3 examples of smutty cards he's intending to "sell" for Valentines day :D :D They are actually quite sweet but definitely NSFW lol.

I already mentioned in another thread that someone I was writing to traced his penis on the page and shaded it in, and in great detail too. It was unsolicited and way more than I needed to know.

So my SO tried out her new cellmate's coffee cheesecake. She said there was too much both too much coffee and too much lemonade at the same time.
