From GTL to CenturyLinkCorrections

Hey guys.
A little while ago my boyfriend who's in Oregon told me that the facility he's at are going to change from GTL/GettingOut to CenturyLinkCorrections soon in June.
Does anyone here have experience with this system? I haven't heard from it before...

Hi. CenturyLink for inmates is ICSolutions. At least I think this is always the case.

If you're outside of the States and currently fund your own GTL account (rather than the inmate funding it from his end), you won't be able to do this with ICSolutions. You have to have a US bank card linked to a US address.

I think it varies state by state as far as the cost but personally I find it far more expensive than GTL.

There is no way to use it for people who live overseas? Not even with usunlocked.com ?

No, I do t think so. As far as I know, you can't use prepaid cards or anything like that and it has to be linked to a US address.
Althougn I'm in the UK, I'm lucky enough to have my boyfriends card to use but I'm not sure that there is any other way around it. Unless anyone else has had any luck and can help you.

GTL is far easier!

I have been trying to set up an account with no luck I am in Australia While GTL was expensive they were at least international IC Solutions are rude and hang up on you. Century Link can't transfer a phone call without it dropping out or they hang up on you. As you can guess I am very angry.  Come 06/11/2020 my PP and I will be cut of from each other. Snail mail is not even being sent since 3rd April.

Wow that really sucks!! So I guess we'll be cut off once it's June 17th... (this is when they will transfer to CenturyLinkCorrections).
But I saw that you only have to verify your phone number for phonecalls and video visits right?
Has anyone tried sending an email or mail? Cause on the website it says that if you're not able to verify your phone number you can send them an email with a copy of a phone bill..

and what do they use for messages? I saw something like CorrLinks, is that right? Cause it seems like I can use that.

I'm not familiar with Oregon so hopefully some one else can help you with that. I use Jpay for emails and Video Visits. Never used Corrlinks! But I think it's somewhat similar.
Might be possible for you to fund his account so that he can put money on his phone account for calls though.

All accounts for communication will be through IC Solutions so until you have an acount with them you can deposit any monies so that limits contact.  Century Link is incompetent, the employees have no idea what the company covers in terms of communication.  I think I have found a way through the maze but only time will tell.

n0stalgia it is really weird that the info I give my PP you write here maybe our PPs know each other

I imagine they have all been given the same information as all prisons within the ODOC are going to be contracted to CenturyLink
