All right
I think I`m going away
I wish I knew just what to say
But it`s all been said before
So I`ll take my guitar and lock the back door
Go for a walk and think
Stop at the Blue Note and buy me a drink
Who knows where I`ll spend the night
But I promise you I`ll be all right
I look at my watch to check the time
A couple more drinks and I`ll be just fine
The bar doesn`t close until two
I guess after that I`ll be singing the blues
I packed everything that I could
And I swear this time that I`m leaving for good
Last time I didn`t get far
But it`s almost two and I`m still at the bar
Who knows where I`ll spend the night
But I promise you I`ll be all right
Well the Blue Note`s closed and I`m out for a walk
Feeling alone and needing to talk
And look where I happen to be
I guess I`ll just return your house key
The lights are still on so I know you`re awake
And something tells me I`ve made a mistake
I knew where I`d end up tonight
Just promise me it`s all right.

where does the lyrics come from past experiences? should try to publish as music or poems. I really like the words.
Skatergirl, I've seen enough of your PPs poetry and lyrics to know that he has a talent he should be proud of. The only thing left for me to say now is --- Where can I buy his book? Really I loved this one just as I have loved all the others and I think that, once again, he has done a wonderful job.
