I wish I’d know about that Facebook group which one it is. It seems to be helpful not to get scammed.

I searched and couldn’t find the group.
Not blaming the girl cause she isn’t in the wrong but I do see some red flags in her story.

Oh no, I don’t blame her !
It’s only human to look for love and affection but asking for money especially regular funds is a huge red flag!
She was so absorbed and couldn’t close emotions out at a certain point that’s why scammers are successful
I realized that one of my penpals uses the same phrase like I hope this makes you smile...
Regards

I agree, I feel for her, I’d be gutted if it were me.
The money is definitely a red flag. Especially because 30 a month would probably cover postage costs, let alone 30 a week.

Yes, 30 a week is a big scam.
But I can still understand the young woman falling for him bc he knew the right words to win her heart.
There’s so many fb group really hard to find a specific one.

Yes, it does happen. But, sorry, no one can force anyone to send money he or she doesn't want to send. I've once been asked by a guy and never heard back when I declined the request. Which to me meant it wasn't a request, but a demand - and sorry: "Beggars aren't choosers."
I send a small amount of money twice - once for a birthday present, second on an other occasion. I had not been asked for it either time, I stated clearly that it wasn't going to happen regularly I got a surprised and happy "Thanks" and it didn't change penpalship in the slightest way. Not that I noticed at least.
So, yes, I do well, not blame her, but let her take the responsibility for what she's been doing. Though a 20 yrs old of course has every right to be naive.
