Most of us consider prisoners to be someone who come from a different planet and do not want to interact with them due to unwarrented fears. Prisoners, men and women, are all humans and they have feelings and desires as well as ambitions in their life. Many prisoners may want to live a useful and fruitful life if given a chance to prove themselves. Also many of them would have regretted their action and might have changed during the period of their imprisonment. So please do not disregard them but give them the comapnionship that they are looking for. We must imagine ourselves in the situation a prisoner is in now and then we can realise how much they long to be free and be able to live a normal life. We have a charity home in Chennai City, India where a teenager, girl of course, was brought by the police as a pick-pocketer; but we found her to be quite normal and she interacted with all other children always willing to smile and do her work just like any other members. So please give our prisoners their fair share of their role in our society and help them to feel normal and wanted by our society.

To Destiny:

I don't agree. I saw a story about a man who methodically murdered another man who raped his sister. He is now doing a life sentence in New York. He was a young man when he killed. I salute this person. Some people don't deserve this life. I'm not saying everyone convicted of murder avenged someone. But I do believe with all my heart even a murder can be justified. In that particual case, I'm happy he did it.

I do agree that prisoners are also people, because they are. It's obvious that they aren't an animal or some sort of weird thing from another planet. They are human beings like us and have made mistakes. However, the ones that were there at the wrong time in the wrong place are different from the ones who commit murders you know. I don't feel sorry for anyone who willingly commits a murder. No one makes them do it. It's because it's what they wanted to do.
