Hey there!
So I'm from Spain and I've been in contact with my penpal (he's in Colorado) since April.
We've become very close and I wanted to gift him a book for Christmas.
Does anybody know if that's possible?.
Thank you! :)

¡Hola ewcande!
Are we talking Colorado DOC or a federal facility in Colorado? Trick question. The answer’s the same (typed the guy who has buds in both types of Colorado facilities). Yes, it’s possible, but you can’t send it directly. It must come from an approved vendor such as Amazon or Thrift Books, though there are others.

Depending on your friend’s security level, hardcover books may not be allowed. Your best bet is to call the facility and ask, or just go with a paperback. Also, FYI, the feds generally allow used books. CDOC does not.

¡Buena suerte!

Hello!
Can I send the book via Amazon?

Hello, The best way to send books is to mail them using the U.S. Postal Service's Media Mail or Parcel Post. This method is optimal for sending books and is less expensive compared to first class rates. Because books are heavy, be sure the packaging is substantial and taped well. Also, please note that media mail takes longer to arrive. Thank you.
