i just wanted to thank everyone on WAP for helping me find my new pp.i received her first letter yesterday.i wrote to three other women on WAP and no responses.when i posted this on this topic,everyone said to write another pp and not to give up,well it finally worked for me.she said in her letter that i was a breathe of fresh air and seemed nice and honest because some of the letters she had been getting was sexually explicit.i never dreamed that people on WAP would send sexually explicit letters because i thought they were read before they was given to the pp's.i could never send a sexually explicit letter to any of the people on WAP because they are dealing with enough emotion and are very lonely.

I`ve heard from my pp`s, that people send sexually explicit letters too.
I guess if you have an ad on the internet, then its going to be seen by a lot of people; and not all of them will have the same motives for writing.
I feel its more a case of stopping contraband coming into prisons, and guarding security that letters are checked.

When I first started writing my Pen Pal I was always very careful what I wrote becuase I thought they read every word I sent her. I have since learned that is not the case.
All your mail will be opened and the mail room staff will check it closely for contraband and stuff that is againat the rules like polaroid photos, stickers, that kind of thing...but they just don't have time to read every letter so I wouldn't worry too much about that.
