Hi all

As Michigan is finally offering video visitation, I'm trying to set one up with my PP. I need to fill out the visitor form on their website but the only form of identification you can provide is a state ID or drivers license. As I live in Europe I'm not sure what I should put here or if I put my ID will it get denied. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got approved in Wisconsin by providing my European passport number on the form. As long as they have an official document they can verify your identity with, you should be fine!

I got approved with my passport but I just sent out my LO a copy of my passport and he filled out the form for me so I'm not a 100% sure but you can just put X passport (ex: Spanish passport) and the number in whatever ID category. They'll understand.

Hi both, thanks for your response. But when I fill out the form should I then list my passport number where they ask for state ID or just put n/a? I have to post the form before I get approved to even have the visit and my PP said it will be rejected if it's not filled out correctly. Thanks

You can show you passport if you have one. I showed my Permanent resident card and medical card both of which have my photo, my name and date of birth and are considered to be official id's in Canada.

They are used to non american ID. Just show the visitation officer your official id
