Visiting my PP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D !!!!!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh how exciting!!! Im so jealous of you guys and all your visits!! Im still waiting on my damn approval then Ill be on my way! Grrr!

Yeah....I have a loooong drive! Its like 540 miles or something..my roommate is coming with me though so we'll take turns driving at least..he's in Kentucky..I'm leaving on Thursday. I'm really excited but super nervous!! Any suggestions on what to wear?? lol...i need to do some shopping since a lot of what I have is not 'appropriate'..its been a really long time since I've been in a prison so I'm really nervous about what to do when I get there and everything..... yikes!

My pp said to always bring a pair of jeans and a tee shirt that isn't low cut for a back up...i have never visited anyone in prison so not really sure.

I know all my clothes are not "appropriate" either lol!

I wonder why they make you dress so conservatively? I mean sandles with socks? huh??!! :roflmao:

Every place is different for the dress standards. Read the DOC dress code thoroughly, choose an outfit you think is cute but appropriate and take a back up JUST IN CASE!! That's what I did, and luckily my first choice was acceptable. Give yourself plenty of time :)

My pp keeps telling me that he doesn't care if I take a shower or brush my teeth--as long as he gets to see me. Obviously Im freaking out about it a lot more than him--but he doesn't have to freak out about it since his wardrobe is already picked out!

Well first of all...OMG! Have I said that yet??? It was defintitely all I had hoped for--and more! I was surprised how laid back everything was actually. I had been told (including by the guy I write to) that I wasn't allowed to wear flip flops or opened toed shoes, but I saw girls there wearing both. When I got there I was frisked and I had to take my shoes off and walk through the metal detector of course. The buttons on my jeans kept setting it off but she let me through anyway.

Then I saw him.......................:swoon: I swear I could have just fallen right over. He waved at me through the bars before he got searched. It was adorable cause he has really bad eye sight and I guess he borrowed a pair of glasses from his friend so that he could see me from way out in the cell house lol. Then a few minutes later he came in. I was surprised..we actually got to give each other a pretty long..................................hug? =p ....sweets has the juicy details on that! lol =))))) :a011203mht_prv: And I loved every second of it! The COs were really cool too, my shirt wasn't all that conservative and they didn't tell me anything about it lol. We were much 'closer' than I thought we'd be allowed to be, and one of the COs saw him touch my.....backside..?...when we were taking a picture and just smiled and said we were cute together :bluebowdanc:

The time went by SO fast! It was crazy. I'm soooo incredibally happy that I came, but at the same time, it's going to KILL me to have to leave him tomorrow. I'm reeeaaallllyyy hoping that he makes parole in October...

Omg..I still can't believe that I finally met him! It all just seems unreal! I'm crazy for this boy.................... (umm..insert embarrassed face here?)

I can't wait to see him tomorrow!!!

Wow Peyton you are so lucky and I'm so happy for you.............its great when you do finally see them face to face and I cant wait for when I get the chance, at the rate I'm going I'm gonna be selling a whole lot of things just to raise funds to be able to go visit (am thinking of selling off my kids' toys they dont need them...........)........but hew well done.

Wow your work is tough 60 days for a day's leave? or is that for any length of time leave? I want to be able to take 3 weeks off so I'm gonna visit next year.
