Some of the entries in the DOC come from incredibly ancient systems where they used to hand code things and the way that the DOC did things up until the late 90s was ARCHAIC! I've seen hand written DOC files as late as 1999 where everyone was using computers around the world. -_- but on the case of it today. I very much doubt it. I think its a con, like those people who appear on websites who swear they're 29 but are actually 52.

@lamorena...sure mistakes happen. But the case Autumn mentioned it's an odd thing for the inmate to do, cuz we can look up all their details, unless THEY don't realize that.

One of my penpals had the right birthday on the profile I met him under, but then his birthday was off by a day when it was renewed. A day is WAY different than 9 years, but I'm thinking whoever renewed it either forgot his birthday or it was a typo.

Yes. This was not the only problem with our communication. I sent him a letter explaining to him why I felt that he and I were not the right choice for penpals.

Might or might not be true. A typo? I mean, on the German keyboasrd the "9" and the "0" are next to each other. There you get a 9 yrs. difference if you hit the wrong one.

Probably lying about his age. Awkward. 

I don't think this is very likely to have happened. It more logically sounds like he is lying about his age. 

The DOC F up all the time, but i dunno on that, is it a thing between you either way if he's older or younger?
