We don't need another war! Is it because Iran has all the ingredients to make a nuclear bomb? Why does America think they have to be the only ones with nuclearbombs? I don't want anyone have those horrible things! But if America have them why not all the countries? That seems fair to me..

Ummm? Well? America has not vowed to wipe any other nation off the face of the earth, which Iran has. And then we see how they treat their own people, with a few religious leaders declaring that everyone has to believe, and behave as they dictate. Do we want someone, like that, running around with nuclear bombs? In my estimation, and in the estimation of many, the leaders of Iran are a bunch of loose cannons . . rolling around and threatening to cause great harm and damage to anyone who does not believe as they believe.
Being prepared for some unseen, unprovoked, behavior, on their part, only seems to be a logical step in defending ourselves and our allies.
Granted, as distatesful as the thought of a nuclear war is, can we afford to bury our heads in the sand and simply hope that nothing bad happens? To me, that is just asking for trouble.
Let me put it another way. Have you ever seen a bully on the playground? Do you think that the bully will stop their behavior if nobody is willing to stand up to them? Well, Iran would like to be the bully. And someone has to stand up to them, or they aren't ever going to quit. Just my 2ยข.

Well i think no one should have those horrible bombs. Maybe Iran is a higher risk for using them now, but there is one country who actually have used them...
And that is maybe why other countries want to have the same kind of horrible bombs...

. . and that country was America. In 1945, America was engaged in a brutal war to the finish. After a sneak attack on American soil, to start the war, the Japanese government was arming it's citizens(men, women and children), and extolling them to "fight to the death!" Every day, American troops were witnessing examples of suicide attacks by Japanese soldiers . . . Kamakazi airplane attacks . . . Banzi charges by soldiers, high on drugs and carrying no weapon but a sword. Their only desire was to die for the emporer. Faced with that, America's leaders feared that to attack the mainland, and finish the war, was going to cost another quarter million American lives, and many times that number of Japanese lives. So, they had a decision to make. With the development of the atomic bomb, they could only hope that it's power and destructive force would wake up the Japanese leaders and cause them to sue for peace. And that is exactly what happened. And, now, there are many, . . . who were not there, . . . who did not have to make that decision, who say that it was horrible. Would it have been less horrible if another 225,000 Americans died and perhaps 2 or 3 million Japanese died?
Yes, nuclear weapons are horrible. But, once the toothpaste is out of the tube, it is hard to put it back in. Such is the way it is with nuclear weapons. Those who have them are not going to give them up. However, having seen the horrible effects of an atomic explosion, the American government has diligently worked to try to convince those who have them to agree to never use them. Many countries have, but there are two who have not . . North Korea and Iran. North Korea is governed by a rouge dictator who lives lavishly, while his own people starve, and who threatens the world, almost daily, with his nuclear arsenal. They have repeatedly attacked South Korean ships and unarmed passenger planes. And then, there is Iran, a nation of muslims, dictated to by muslim leaders, who have an unnatural hatred for the nation of Israel, and whom they have sworn to annihalate. So, I ask again: do we want countries, who hold no value on human life, to have nuclear arms, so that they might dictate to the free world . . to those who do not believe as they do??
It is pretty darned easy to sit back in a cosy little computer room and arrogantly declare that someone else is behaving wrongly. And that, it would appear, is without considering all of the facts behind world events.
I think that you need to talk to some of your elders, panda. Weren't the Netherlands occupied by German forces during World War II? Ask them if they would have preferred that England and America had simply sat back and said, "It wouldn't be nice to attack Germany and free the Dutch people from an oppressive regime." So, when you declare that everyone needs to be nice (so it would seem), then maybe you need to consider some of those world events. If you think that something, like that, couldn't happen again, then you ARE crazy. There are threatening events, happening every day, and all of the free world needs to be on alert not to let them happen.

I think it's different when war is already going on than start one. When some country needs help than i think it's neccesary to go to war. But as it is, like the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan we don't have to..
