I don't know about vid calls to menard, sorry. But, like Violet said, I'm pretty confident he's gonna receive your letters.

But you might wright a letter to the newaddress just as well. Sooner or later, he's probably gonna get them all.

They should forward the letters to his new prison. In saying that, it's prison and they aren't in a hurry and sometimes they can't be bothered and just send it back to you. Depending on who's working in the mailroom at the time. 
My PP was transferred twice last year and all my letters sent to the prison he was at, all made it to the new prison. 
 

You could write a new letter to Menard in the meantime while you're waiting.

But now i see he is transferred to menard while my letters has been send to pontiac. Im wondering if he is gonne recieve the letters. Menard a has VERY slow mailroom. I once had someone there, but wce stopped corresponnding. Not because of the mailroom, though. But while he was there (got transferred to a medium security facility by now, which is good) mail was awfully slow. A lot slower than, say, Robinson, or Kewanee.
