Is there anybody having issues with mcconnell unit mail ? My husband's letters are taking over a month to come to me and its just not normal. I know they have been on lockdown but even when they were not they are not just as slow. The mail lady said it can take 2-3 weeks to to Canada. I called just making a general inquiery... My letters take sometimes 3 days to get to him. WHAT is going on ....

[B]ALL [/B]TDCJ units are having to make staffing cuts and many have reduced the number of mailroom staff. At Coffield, there were 12 mail personnel and now there are 8, which is causing delays of up to a week before mail leaves the unit.
It is just something else to get used to, especially as those of us outside Texas can do nothing to change the rules there.
