Hi everyone! I’m New :)

Hi there! It’s so nice to meet everyone! My name is Cherry and I’m 25 year old female from Michigan. I’m pretty new to WAP I’ve been on here for three weeks and I’ve been trying to figure out the whole website and forums. Please feel free to introduce yourself and tell me about your PPs! I look forward to making friends with you all! Even though I’ve only been using this site a short amount of time I’ve managed to make a PP and he seems to be a nice guy.   I only have one right now and I think I’m going to keep it that way. We write each other a lot in letter form and on JPAY. I hope I don’t sound naive. I’ve been doing my research and the crime he committed isn’t anything extremely horrible even though it’s still a crime. But he seems to have changed his ways and wants to do better for himself and his family. He’s currently taking online college classes and I’m so proud him :) I would like to visit him in the near future whenever COVID calms down. And that’s about all for right now. I’ve been trying to introduce myself for weeks but ever time I posted something it would get deleted and Idk why? Oh well I’m happy I can introduce myself now and I look forward to talking with you all. Also if anyone else is in Michigan let me know we can chat and even carpool possibly one day :)

Hi Cherry,

welcome to WAP and nice to meet you! A lil about me: I'm Kirsten, a 44 year old German, started writing in January 2018, but did some volunteer's work in a German prison in the 90ties. (I lived opposite of one, practically across the street, Germany's too small to build prisons just in the middle of nowhere).

Currently I do have pps in AZ, TX and OH. Is your pp in MI as well or did you choose someone from another state?

Good luck and happy writing,

Kirsten

Hi Kirsten it’s nuce too meet you as well :) Oh that’s so interesting I didn’t know prisons were built so closely in german. Do you still live in Germany or are you in the states now? My pp is from Michigan aswell yes. I know I read a few forums about how it’s not really a good idea to have a pp in the same state as you, but I really liked his ad. He’s just looking for friendship and so am I. A lot of profiles I was reading and going through they all seemed to be looking for a “woman” and some said “ladies only” “looking for a relationship” and that just isn’t my thing. And some ads seemed interesting but some of the crimes they committed I just couldn’t talk to them. My dealbreakers are Identity Theft, Murder, Assualt, Rape and anyone who hurts children. Even if some people changed I just can’t do it. My pp has been incarcerated for 12 years now he committed a robbery with a “friend” when he was a teenager. He said in a way he feels like it was a blessing in disguise because he felt like he was heading down a worse path.

No one was hurt or killed in the robbery. But he regrets it so much every day.

Hey Cherry, good on you for writing! I did the not-in-the-same-state thing too at first, but then, the buds I’ve made here have become like brothers to me, where things progressed to phone calls and visits (holy road trip, Batman!) (well, back when in-person visits were a thing – hopefully, those days will return soon).

My best advice is to enjoy the journey. Maybe, like me, you began it with a sense of altruism, hoping to prop-up a fellow human being. Just get ready for when you click with someone and it happens in the other direction. It will restore your faith in humanity, and reinforce that the greatest treasure we can have in this world is each other.

Hey Cherry, I’ve been at this for five years now and have several pals across the U.S. – and one in Michigan as it turns out (no, I’m not from Michigan).

My most epic experience, times two, was being there to meet them on their release days. On one of those days, I met my bud at a bus station. They’d dropped him off for a cross-country trip. I got my own ticket for the first leg so we could spend some time together. The most indelible moment for me was at one of the transfer stops, where everyone had to get off and go into the depot. My friend made a beeline for the door and held it open for everyone. Maybe you or I might take such things for granted, but there in that one gracious gesture was something so simple yet so profound. He hadn’t been able to do that for another living soul for well over a decade, in a place where others controlled his every movement, and held and locked his every door. There in that moment, I saw my friend transform from a convict to a gentleman. It took all I had not to burst into tears, though I’d known he was a gent all along. He just needed the right context. And there, on that day, at that moment, he achieved exactly that. It was epic beyond all description.

That’s so wonderful :) I feel the same way about my PP he seems like such a sweet guy, I really want to meet him in person eventually. COVID has just ruined everything. His facility is trying to set up Video Visits and I can wait to see him in person :) but meeting face to face is probably even more special :) we were supposed to talk tonight but I got busy running around doing errands. I felt so bad but he understood but I could still tell in his voice he sounded a little sad. He said he’ll call back tomorrow though. Even though it’s only been two weeks I love talking to him over the phone so much and he feels the same about me too :) I know we’re just friends but I’d probably be lying to myself if I said I didn’t like him just a little :) He wrote me a letter back and it’s just so beautiful. He took his time writing it and it just kind of touched my heart that he did something like that :) What I also love about him is that he told me in the begging that he doesn’t want anything from me. Not money or gifts just my friendship someone who will listen to him :)

I've been searching for a suitable dating site for a long time and came across a lot of positive feedback about this site www.transgenderladies.com  on the Internet. I got a couple of dating invitations since I signed up, and it's a great feeling to hear that they want to meet you! I recommend this website to everyone who likes transgender ladys .
