I wrote to 10 which quickly whittled themselves down to 4 which quickly whittled themselves down to 2.

I am new here and I write to one pp. I started writing one per week and now it's up to about 3. He does not have any internet access so the letters mean so much to them.

I am not new to WAP, I am new to posting on the forums. I have been writing to prisoners for several years. I usually only write one prisoner at a time. I usually write 2-3 times a week in letter form, then send separate small envelop with pictures once a week, and about once a month send a card. Also, one thing I did... handwriting with a pen or pencil is a pain. So, I had one of the on-line services convert my handwriting into a font, and "type" all my letters using my own handwriting. I type pretty fast (I should, been typing for many years) so that is why I tend to send so much.

What kind of service converts handwriting into a font? THAT is an interesting concept.

I used Fontifier - Your own handwriting on your computer!, although there are several others out there (google search "handwriting font"). You download a form, fill in each character with upper and lower case in your own handwriting, and submit it back either by scanning or mailing. I did mine a couple years ago and it took a couple of days. It appears now you can have it done in minutes once you have uploaded the form. If you are really creative, you can do both printing and cursive, although I found it hard to try and get the cursive style down on the form (because of the way I write, it is hard to process each character in a box. Anything that I do that I want to add the "personal" touch to, including work related, I use my own handwriting. It does really look good printed out on paper.

It is pretty cool. I think I'd have to do a print font also because my cursive is WEIRD. Like my 's' isn't always the same depending on where in the word it is, beginning or middle. Same with some other letters. But then again one of my pals was recently complaining my handwriting is "too fancy" and he can't read it sometimes so maybe print would be the way to go.

My handwriting sucks, so it would definitely have to be a print font. The idea is really cool, I will have to look more into this.

Wow... Thanks for the handwriting font!
I write about 4 letters a week, to 2 penpals. One I write 3 letters to and the other one 1. Not exactly the same every week, but I try to.

I wrote to 3 guys, 1 is amazingly awesome and we're v.good friends now, 1 turned out to be an ******* and the other we just didn't 'click' so the letters kinda stopped.
And I write him about 6 letters a week, or more if something dramatic happens.... Which is rare as my life is boring as fcuk.

My mailbox was flooded this week. All in all I about 12 letters, so you can imagine all the writing I had to do to keep up. I guess the holidays tied a lot of people up because some were dated almost a month ago.

When this happens I usually answer them by postmark date. And at this point I might cheat and answer two of their letters in one if there were multiple letters from one person. It all depends. Might take me a good week or more to answer all those. Good luck to you.
