Hi all.

I wrote a first email to an inmate serving 35 years on Thursday evening. I checked out the pages that they ask you to read before sending any mail, and discovered that emails are printed and sent on the 4th and 20th of each month.

My question is this. Did I write and send the email in time for it to be received on the 20th (tomorrow) or will it not reach him until the 4th? How long in advance is it advisable to send emails so you can be sure that they'll get to the person you're writing to by either the 4th or the 20th of each month?

Thanks.

you wrote it in time.. They mail it out on the 20th so as long as you submit it by the 19th you are good

Ahh brilliant Girltaz. Thanks so much. I was hoping it'd be sent tomorrow, which has special significance for me. It's my first Wedding Anniversary lol.

I have an issue , wonder if you can help me. I tried to send a message to a prisoner on the site. I got an error message that said you were experiencing problems and to come back later. I came back in a little while and just started over and resent the message. Then I got the message that I was vialating the TOS because I tried to send 2 messages to the same person. It is the girls birthday on Friday the 25 th. and I really wanted to wish her a happy birthday. If a message doesn't get sent today it won't go till the 4th of July. Anything I can do, I have a letter for her and will mail it on Monday but wanted to send a quick Email.

I'm a total newnie to this site and so unfortunately, I can't help you any.

However, if you start a new thread with your question, I'm sure someone with a little more experience may be able to help you, or better yet, contact the webmaster of the site. They should be able to help you.

If the persons facility has j-pay you can send her a birthday greeting thru them and she could it it either the same day or next day.... failing that try emailingaprisoner.com mail between them and most facilities get to there destination within 2/3 days, you do have to pay a fee to use these services j-pay is .44 cents per page and emailingaprisoner costs $ 1.00 per page
