Hi Raymond,
You could write to someone in a different state, if you want to write to someone else too. Then there won't be any fights :)
Also, you can see your previous posts under your profile and 'LodiWriter's Activity'. All your posts are there. It could be helpful to you to check back if you are unsure what you posted before. Just a little tip :)

Hello Everyone:
I thought I posted an introduction, but have 2 head injuries so I have some memory loss. I looked through the pages to see in I posted an into already and couldn't find one so here goes.
My name is Raymond and as you may guess by my user name, I am a long time writer. As a disabled vet I guess it is my calling. I have written via this website one gal but she has not gotten back to me.
I am a quiet soul and hope that I can be a light in someone's life behind bars.
I am a fan of utube and saw the video "LOCKUP RAW WOMENS IN PRISON - VALLEY STATE, CALIF" and the one part with the senior gal so lonely, hoping she could hold on and maintain her sanity so she could be paroled touched me.
I have googled prison pen pal scams and hope not to be taken advantage of by someone behind bars.
I don't know how long I should wait before I write to someone else.
I am aware writing to two inmate gals at the same time could cause fights.
On the flip side, perhaps an inmate will have a dozen guys writing her.
I expect nothing in the long term and fully realize not always does the writer tell you the truth or at least the complete truth about their past or why they are behind bars.
But at least I am willing to give it a go.
I am 62 years old.
Glad to be here.
Raymond.

Hello,
My name is Mike and I'm new here. Well, new to the forums anyway. I've been using this site since August to find pen pals. I wrote an initial batch of four letters thinking one or two would drop off. And one did. I still converse with the remaining three and one asked me to add a friend of hers as well, so I'm up to four. I wasn't really sure what to expect when I started this but it's been a pretty positive experience so far.
I look forward to conversing with other WAP members. :)

I am born in 1976 and found my classmate on here by sheer chance; it was haunting when you realize this as I made a career writing horror stories and scaring the masses since age 20 years old but when I was tormented by wishing I said something when my classmate killed. It is weird when you're asking, "How did he know? I mean how the --- did he know about the true crime work examining what he did." I had written seven books (four short story collections, a five year memoir, a Christian testimony that's R-rated, and a novel. Then novellas here and there.) I am an editor of nine anthologies where I am getting them back online slowly but working on getting isbns for them. My blog is here http://unclefossil.wordpress.com as this is a play of my science fiction work, Lake Fossil. I am a bachelor looking for a wife but if I correspond with a male prisoner it will not be a personal ad response but trying to get one of my projects on wheels. This classmate was in my middle school homeroom and went to high school with him. I had been plagued by nightmares about another classmate who was his age who died by means of his brother driving drunk.

Hellooooo everybody! Three days ago it had never once crossed my mind to correspond with someone in jail that I'd never met. Now I've sent one letter and have just finished two more to send tomorrow and I'm planning to write the 4th one in a couple days. It's fascinating what a sizable community you all have going here.
Anyway since this is an intro thread I'll just tell you guys I'm a junior in college in Alaska, working on an English lit major, and my current obsession is Hamilton, the Broadway musical. And I'm hoping the guys I've written write me back super fast because I have No Patience. Thankfully a friend of mine in Japan has just sent me a letter after I sent him one last month, and he's told me it's all done up with calligraphy and even a wax stamp, so I definitely have that to look forward to.

One does not have much money so he never writes but he does email once in a great while. I cant afford to keep sending him money. I think he expects it tho. I actually traveled to meet him once, he is nice. Do i move on and get a new pen pal or two? One that can afford to write and maybe even call?
Im lonely.
You should definitely give it a go. There are many inmates who are older and/or who are serving Life sentences who would appreciate a steady friend to write with on a regular basis.

I've been on the forum for several months, but I dont think I presented myself... I met wonderful people here, so I'm glad to be part of it and it's time to make this official ahah !
I'm Alice, 28, I'm a teacher (for 2-5 years old this year) and I live in France. I love to travel, and I lived several months in Scotland and Danmark too... But I've never been to the USA, and I'm going this summer to see my wonderful PP, so I'm very excited !
I found WAP through a web magazine. A french girl was saying she had found the best friend ever who is serving life in America, and that a lot more needed attention... Well, I though, why not ? I was always very involved in humanitarian aid, I'm a regular donor and I've been helping a child to go to school in Philippines for 10 years now, corresponding with his big sister, so I guess it was not such a big step to go into the inmate pp thing.
I'm writing Joe for 10 months now, with telmate and accesscorrections mostly now. And calls.
He makes me happy, and I think I make him happy too, so it's perfect <3

I don't think I have introduced myself, I've thought about it though.
I'm 45, married and I have two daughters, 11 and 15. I also have a dog. I live in a medium size city in the south of Sweden. I work in the environmental sector as an inspector.
Last summer I read an article about writing to prisoners. Writing is a huge part of my life but I've never written letters like this before. After a couple of months I was hooked. I write to four pen pals. Two of them writes poetry and we share a lot of poems and short stories. The things they write blow me away sometimes. I'm currently writing a fantasy-story with Mr TX. I have no idea were we're going with the story and that's thrilling.
I love to cook and experience with new ingredients and flavors. I love to travel and I've been all over Europe. I've been to Toronto, Washington DC and New York too. My favorite city, so far, is Copenhagen. Next place to visit on our wishing list is Scotland. Maybe one day...
Well I think I'll stop here.
Thank you all for making this place a good one to visit and to ask all the stupid questions that pop up from time to time.

I've been on the forum nearly a year and a half now so some of you may already know a bit about me. My name is Leanne and I am from England. I am a single mother to a 9 year old girl (dad never in the picture) and i work part time on an RAF base. My (step)father is in the Airforce so it's a lifestyle i am very comfortable in. I have a kitten called Mittens and an incarcerated Mexican-American boyfriend called Alfredo who is serving 25-Life in Arizona. We have just reached our 1 year anniversary. His (Step)father is also from military background and they are both currently doing math based degrees!
I'm very open minded and I'm really not into being 'bitchy'. If I ever said anything negative about anyone though it's something I would be willing to say to their face. I'll usually retreat away from any WAP drama though! Unless someone talks smack about my man...Then I'll be yelling "Timber" coz you'll be going down!!! Haha!...but seriously! :abat:

but the prison thing is new. This is all new to me since i never knew about the times he was in jail we dont exactly live close to each other(long story) so i dont get to see him everyday. Not sure what else I feel comfortable sharing yet.
That's an ..... interesting... ID hha!
Welcome to the forum!
Just joined today. I'm a momma from Canada and I obviously met my wonderful penpal from WAP. Him and I are now engaged and couldn't be happier.
Hello Møysalen!
Velkommen til forumet! Endelig kan jeg øve meg norsk! :D
Jeg ønsker deg mye moro!
:kilt:
:abat:
Welcome to the forum!
Welcome Møysalen.
A woman on an oil rig as mechanic. Wow, almost unheard of, but great - as long as you love what you do. I work in an oil refinery, actually as a contractor to them.
