Ok, one of my guys is in Iowa and i can normally e mail him on Corlinks although he is in state not fed.
Anyway, went to e mail him today and it says the facility is no longer available to him...so i guess he has been moved, but cant bloody find out a thing!!
Email the Pen he was at , nothing..no idea what to do next? Really worried about him :(

We talk on the phone when we can. But he is in SHU and so it has been very difficult

It must be! I'm not familiar with the SHU situation *knock on wood* but I am happy to know he did get ahold of you. I was wondering already but figured it was the ''moving''. It must have been at least a relieve to finally know where he resides. Glad it's sorted.

Hmmm..I'm guessing you are not in touch with him by phone, just letters/emails? Sometimes shortly before inmates are moved they are allowed to call loved ones to notify them they're being transfered. I'm not sure if it differs between prisons or even states. I have only one so I have no experience with that at all.

From what I know he didn't even know where he was being moved to either. Fair enough I guess incase people will hyjack the transportation or something? Usually when you call their old facility they would only tell you if you're family. But this might not be for every prison/state I have no idea.

I think anything could be going on but if you can't even reach him via email then I think there's a chance he is being moved. But since you can't reach his brother either, could it be they're both being moved then?

We do talk on the phone, but as he is in SHU its been a little difficult. No idea when we can speak again, he seems to be in limbo right now

I'd say keep checking the DOC site sometimes they're so fast they update it within one day after he's arrived, then his paperwork etc needs to get processed also. Try not to worry, it's easier said than done but for now I guess you can't do much, but he'll be fine :) Hope you'll hear from him soon!

Attention OP... I am once again going to hijack a thread.. Only for a second though.... Just to say this:

I used to live in Iowa, and know the feeling of "Lost in Iowa", all too well.

OK, back to your normally proceeding thread. Thank you.

Is there no way you can call up the facility and ask if he's moved? They don't always give out specific info like where and when but perhaps they would tell you he is ''on his way'' so that eases your mind at least. Mostly their DOC sites update the new facility the inmate is located? If accurate enough it takes couple days. This had happened to my guy before as well (also state prison no feds) although he called me just before they moved couple guys out but I was at work. Things like that happen all suddenly even without inmates knowing. Different state than mine though so I'm not sure. Are you not in touch with his friends or family maybe, they might know? Hope all goes well, I know how it feels, it's nerve wrecking because you cant do anything.

Thank you for your words of help. I am in England and i e mailed and phoned the pen where he is/was. They told me they would not tell me anything, it was up to the inmate to contact me etc. His twin brother is in there as well...so i thought i would try and e mail him, but not able to contact him either. I wondered why i hadnt had anything this week, now i know something is up, but no idea what, when, where, how, why ???? GRRRRR I hate the penal systems all over the World !!!!
Sorry, close to tears here :(
