I wrote to an inmate at Topeka Correctional Facility at the beginning of this year, but haven't heard back after the second letter... . When I looked at the address she wrote TCF-JCH the first time and at the second letter JCH-TCF. When I wrote to her I always wrote just Topeka Correctional Facility. Now, could it be that I wrote the address different that way that she hasn't received my letter at all? Or doesn't that matter? And what does the JCH stand for?

Try to check her personal web page at KDOC site to confirm in which prison she is housed now; KDOC has post addresses for all housing facilities: write the way it is listed there. My pp was moved from one facility to another, and my letters were forwarded to him without problems or delays. Make sure that you haven't forgot to write your own address at the left top corner and her KDOC number: in this case she will not get your mail.

Just from what I've seen from other ads, I think the JCH is just the unit the inmate is located in. I've seen ads on other sites that list JCH or other stuff listed in the same spot and others that just had the main TCF address and nothing else. You could try writing again just to say hello. Maybe your letter got lost somewhere in the shuffle?
