I reviewed Skye's post and went to the Kentucky Department of Corrections web site and I cant find anything on the number of pages permitted in a letter. Does anyone know? I have heard that some States limit the number in mail.

WOW! i never thought about there being a limit of pages or pictures you could send.
i mean, write a small book or a portfolio and someone in the prison would get interested real quick LOL

You can always use MS Word and change the font to 8 and you can squeeze quite a bit in a letter.

In KANSAS the limit is 1 OZ. That is about 5 full size sheets of paper depending on paper weight, type etc...... 1 oz. is also the limit that one US postage stamp will send, BTW.
I know you are talking (posting) about Kentucky but there is almost nothing is the Kansas section! :whistling: :)

Thanks P'nut, did not know that. You would think they would all follow the same set of rules.

Actually, different prisons in same state, still have their own rules on details of how many pages, how many pics can be in the envelope etc.

Best to always check with your pp, he has the most recent information. Things like this can change in a heartbeat on what they will except.

Just catching up with my WAP postings. While I was in Ky my favorite pp informed me there is no limit to the # of pages permitted in a letter, just make sure you have the correct postage. Pix on the other hand, 5 per envelope.
