Hi all!
So, I've been in contact with my inmate for like.. 5months now through JPay (so very consistant contact).
I don't live in the states (I live in Europe), so I've got a virtual american number so that my inmate will be able to call. The only thing is that I don't know how to put money on the phonecard.. Can anyone help me figure out how to do that?
I've tried going through GTL, but I can't find which facility it is - since the prison wont show up in the drop down menu...
Is there a way just to put money on the phonecard "easily"?
Thanks a lot

Hi, what state is he in? I've also had this problem at first, i.e. couldn't find his facility on GTL, so I just chose California Department of Corrections instead, and I that's how I've found him:)
Hi!
He is in Kentucky! Although that option doesnt show up.. ugh!
Try Kentucky Department of Corrections, it's there!;)
Be careful..I m in the same boat...I tried to do this but the systems operator put in my postcode ( german) and up popped the same zip code for north carolina then her system wouldn t take in my address..so rather than invite questions about why i have a " virtual" American number..I told her to leave in and jpayed my guy money..told him to buy a phone card...easier...
Thats so wierd, ive looked for it - im not blind :) but it wont show up for me.
Hm, thanks for sharing your experience. I tried going through Securus, but they pretty much denied me help due to my location as well as the virtual number haha. Can the inmates buy phone cards (or fill the ones they have) with Jpay money? I didn’t know - my inmate never told me, I feel like that is way easier :)
Yes..just jpay him money..he can get a card on his shopping day....i think its only once a week..then he can call you...I believe the collect call thing..what we call reversing the charges is if they don t have funds..but if you send him money he can definately buy a card...just don t get into it with the phone companies over locations/virtual numbers
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it :)
You're most welcome....things are different for us that aren't US based...so if you need anything..just holler
