Does anyone write to this prison?
I am trying to work out if I can send books or not.. I called them up and the night duty guy said, yeah it's fine, just ring up in the morning to make sure the book isn't on the banned list.. so I called up in the morning and the guy said "they're not allowed to get books here" .. that info is a bit inconsistent! I asked my pp but by the time I get his reply Christmas will have been and gone.. Does anyone know?

Yes, I have a friend in there! The only way for them to get books as far as I know is order them through Barnes & Noble, and B & N delivers them directly there- you can't buy a book and send it yourself. You also can't use any service other than B & N. And they can't be hardcover. But more info is here:

Good luck!

HEY! I hope this works my 2 cents will answer your question.
When I got released from my bid at Walpole. It was still max. now its medium and classification.
but the rules wont change and the screws are still depressed aholes.
basically outside mail prohibits books magazines. get money in the canteen. we have to order all newspapers and everything thru the canteen. and they jack up prices to make us suffer. well technically i just recall newspapers. any books i always read was in the library.

They rifle thru all incoming mail. so becareful wut u send cuz they will arrest and prosecute. they dont fawk around
