I have a penpal in Nv and I want to know can she get books that are about Tattoos? I know they can't get playgirl or playboy or anything like that. So if anyone knows could you let me know. :thx:

I would assume it would be ok if there was no nudity or suggestiveness, if they're not permitted Play mags? Best bet, as is always said - either ask your PP if she can get them, or try and get in touch with her prison to see what they can give the green light to

Not sure a book on tats is gonna fly. My friend is in NV and I can't send him anything unless he gets pre-approval for it. Then again... he's in a male med. sec. prison, lol!!! Your friend might have a different thing available!

Yeah some prisons see tattoo magazines as promoting an illegal activity, so it's best to ask her or call the prison mailroom and see.

I sent my fiance in to Texas prison a book on tattoos he never got it even though he was told it was ok to have it mailed into him

Check "AR 750 Inmate General Correspondence and Mail" at http://doc.nv.gov/About/Administrative_Regulations/Administrative_Regul… . These are the rules. They do not allow "material that includes instruction relating to tattooing".

That includes tattoo colouring books. Anything with the word tattoo on it.
