Sometimes they don't allow colored envelopes either, at least that's what I heard.

But also you can look up the prison and read their rules. It's so different in every prison.

Me too! I sent all my guys cards for Valentine's Day and the cards were 19 x 8 inches long/wide and the envelopes were red. They got through just fine. And I sent it to both state and Fed.

But yeah, Teri, you should just look up the rules on mail for your guy's facility, as stated before, the rules can be different for each facility.. As long as you don't use any glittery things or sticky thing, or no cards with musical devices inside, you should be cool. I usually just get a normal card, no extra thingies on it :P

I looked it up but it didn't say anything about the cards so I sent it as it's plain without anything glittery or stuff and it has a white envelope, so I think it should be ok... however, my friends got me thinking it's quite girly, so I included a note saying that I couldn't find anything more "manly" that wouldn't be covered with b-day wishes in Czech, haha.

Raleigh's quite relaxed about cards n stuff, hope you managed to get it posted out ok, and i'm sure your dude will be happy! :D

Just one more FYI - if you send cards that are like double layered with glue and stuff - they will usually slice open the card to look between the layers and such.

I applied liquid concealer
I hope you do not reject my letter
and I sent it in a manila envelope
