MrGroceries

Does your loved one or friend need to have their faith in Jesus rekindled? I have some materials that can help them do that. These are the subjects available:

To those who are prisoners
To those who are stressed
To sinners
To young adults
To those who are depressed
To those who do not know Jesus
To those who have rejected God
To those who struggle to forgive
To those who are divorced
To those who have had an abortion
surrender to God
oneness
virtue
discernment
littleness
martyrdom
suffering
trust

Let me know if you want me to send any of these topics to you so you can forward them to your friend or loved one.

Here is part of the one on TO THOSE WHO ARE PRISONERS

Dear brothers and sisters, your Christian family needs you. Your prayers, your sacrifices have great power. If you unite your suffering to Jesus, He can use it to save many souls. For example, if you offer them to Him each day, He will take your offering and will use it to soften the hearts of your family members who are separated from you. He will use your offering to undo any damage that your sins may have caused. He will work miracles in your soul. Work for Jesus and He will work for you. It’s as simple as that.

You have not lived a perfect life, whether or not you are guilty of the crimes for which you have been accused. Even if those crimes were not at issue, you have not been perfect. No man or woman is perfect. All are sinners. In God’s eyes, this makes you no worse than someone who is not imprisoned. Do you understand?

You may feel the eyes of the world upon you in condemnation, but in the eyes of heaven you do not stand out. You are God’s friend. There are many souls, not in prison, who are far guiltier than you. You are cherished. Rest your head against Jesus, and He will heal you.

How can people be free, even while mankind has incarcerated them? The world can imprison your body but nobody has the power to lock up your soul. Your soul belongs to Jesus Christ. He, God, created you to serve heaven. Well, that has not changed simply because you find yourself in prison. It is all about heavenly service, so you must assume that Jesus needs you to serve exactly where you are. There may come a time when you are released from this prison and then you will be called to serve in another place. For now, you must serve where you find yourself.

The most important thing for you to know is that you are loved, just as you are, in whatever condition you are in. Jesus loves you. Jesus, who is all love, is also all mercy. He forgives you any sins you have committed. This is not conditional upon anything but your repentance. In other words, you may feel that the scope of your sin is great. You may feel that you have sinned so badly, and so often, that Jesus could not be talking to you when He offers forgiveness. Dear brother in Christ, may I say that this will not be the first time you have been wrong. I am telling you the truth. Jesus has forgiven you. Go to Him now and tell Him you are sorry. He is God. He has a right to your repentance. Understand that you must do this for Him. If you repent and say you are sorry for your sins, Jesus will heal you of any marks on your soul left by these sins. Many times on earth a human being experiences pain. There are many types of pain, of course, but the pain of not being loved or cared for is particularly troubling to a soul. This pain can then create a predisposition to commit sin. This may have been your situation.

I just use the ignore feature.

This is in "prison resources", there are families & inmates who are religious.

And some of us browse the forum using the "recent posts" deal on the side. At least I do. When I do that I don't pay attention to the category.

I <3 him! I was so upset when I couldn't see him when he was in New Orleans a while back. :(

I saw him speak and his major message to Christians, Buddhists, Jews, Muslims, Athiests, Agnostics, Martians and Dog Worshippers is this: Religiousity is not the thing. Kindness, compassion, education, and mindfulness about how your actions affect others IS the thing.

If the head of what is considered to be a major religion can say that, well... I love him for it. To be fair, I do think that many try to get that message across in whatever flavor is their own. Hopefully, anyhow. I think the D.L means: that's what we need more of, no matter what group you identfy as, even if it's no group.

Ummmm I'm just going to throw out there that there is NO logical reason for your absence whatsoever EXCEPT having been arrested and being a secret pedo.

That is all.

That's what cracks me up so much. Contempt of court? Definitely something I would get thrown in jail for. But something that would get me a prison sentence, let alone force me to go on a sex offender registry? Come on. Next time anyone wants to start that rumor make sure the person lives in the same area I do (maps are cool!) and make sure the person at least resembles me somewhat. I don't know if I'm more offended that someone actually believed I'm a sex offender or if someone thought I looked like that.

As far as I can see, MrGroceries is a kind person who wants to help.
It's not becoming for members of this forum to be SO meanspirited, just because his way of helping is not to your liking.
We are all different in our ways, so please let's make room for everyone.

Many of you are followers of the Dalai Lama; so I wonder, how does this behaviour we're seeing, fit in with the words of his Holiness?
I'm much in favour of ANY kindness whatever the source.

OP actually comes across to me as either one of the pleasant spam bots we get here or someone trying to sell something. I'm not into people preaching to me about Jesus or trying to put Jesus in my face. I personally think it's rude. (I know, I know. "Don't read the topic," etc.) But I've been here long enough to see these Jesus spammers (and the ones who spam about NFL jerseys) to have formed my own opinion about them.

I'm not a "follower" of HH the Dalai Lama. I wish I were personally able to attain that label to be honest. One day I hope to be good enough.

MrGroceries - if you are indeed a real person and not some one off poster, I apologize for my picture and for your topic going off track. It's just the timing of your post here couldn't have been worse given some recent events we have had to deal with and I know others would want to apologize to you as well.

First of all I don't redbrick...not anyone...not NorthernLight/megynmercer (or whoever Mountando feels like reincarnating herself as next), and not MrGroceries either.

I just don't particularly like mission orientated posts, and the implied meaning meaning behind them ie: save those who have not been saved because they are just not capable of making up their own minds for their own good.

I do not care about the religious leanings of any of my pen pals, friends, or anyone on here because it is entirely up to each individual. I only ask for the same acceptance in return - don't gag me with yours, and I won't shove mine down your throat.

I know this is not everybody's cup of tea and I understand everybody's feelings with the whole NorthernLight issue, but seriously? Is it really necessary to make fun of a newbie and start redbricking him?
