Cards?

I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, but I was wondering if I could send my pp a (post)card? You know, one that has an image on the front and you can fold open to write someting inside?

Thanks! :)

As long as they are not nudes, I have never had any problem send picture post cards!

I send cards all the time, I cant say I send any that have a shiny layer its usually just card material (although I've receiveda card with little drawings and foil like material on it!!) Depends i guess with the institution.

I sent both of my pp's a postcard when I was in Colorado and they both got it just fine :).

OK, thank you!

And it doesn't matter what the cards are made of? If the card has a shiny layer, or is just paper/carton-ish?

And I think you all send them in an envelope? Well, I'm from Holland and I think it would be quite risky to send my card without an envelope. :|

Some women prisons you can send 10 cards / 10 envelopes or 10 sheets of paper and writing envelopes- you have to check the webpage for the prison to see what the mailing rules are. They have recently been allowing Stationery to get through whereas before it had to be white envelopes only. Now it can be colored because there was so many complaints in Department of Corrections state of FL prison it became a Chap 33 rule to allow them again.

When i'm on holiday i always send a postcard to my PP even without envelope and he still gets them! Some countries don't sell envelopes with their cards.
