Hello,
I am from Germany and I want to start sending letters via Emailingaprisoner.com because that is the only website I found that offers payment via Paypal.
Now, I have two questions....
1. Is there another reliable Email website who offers payment via Paypal?
2. Can my Pen pal reply to my account on that website? Or to the website itself?!
I found that it usually takes his letters A MONTH to reach my P.O. box. This must be changed, because his exec. date is coming closer....
Please, help me...
Thanks

Very necessary information, I think many people will need it
how long does it take for them to send u the snail mailĀ
I should have said JPay is printed within the facility then handed out.
Jpay print and send out your letter within a couple of days and Emailingaprisoner print and send by mail. They are slightly different. With EAP they off you a service where the inmate can write to them and the letter is scanned and sent to your inbox for a fee.
Yes, they are for YOU to mail him, not the other way round.
Thank you all for your replies. Now, did I get it wrong or... are JPay and Emailingaprisoner.com basically offering the same service concerning mail?
I know some inmates who would have a field day if that happened. Some are pretty eager to get press coverage, and I can only imagine what fairy tales would come out if that was the case.
Even just the kiosks and MP3 players that give them access to email would be nice :)
I think they should just give the inmates little laptops for their cells and full access to wifi...what's the worst that could happen lol :roflmao:
thanks for the tipp, I didn't know that one and was searching for one that would accept paypal as well!
oh, and welcome to wap from a fellow countrywoman :)
But from what I can see, it is possible for your inmate to send his letters to this company and they scan it in for you and send it via e-mail. Maybe that's a bit quicker, than all the way to Germany. It could also be an option for people, that don't want to hand out their own address? Interesting...if it works.
You can send letters via Jpay but he will have to reply back via snail mail. There's really no way to get them quicker unless you use that emailing a prisoner thing or see if someone in the states will let you use their address and scan your letters to you.
You haven't said where your penpal is located. If he is on Death Row in Texas, then he will not be able to respond in any other way than via traditional snail mail to your address. You can use a variety of means to contact him, including Jpay, but he cannot use them to reply to you.
When writing to inmates, whether on Death Row or not, you have to be patient to receive their reply.
So yeah, your pp most likely has to answer via snailmail as well
Yes, you can use JPay, but my guess is (because I'm not familiar with that website, maybe someone else can explain more on that) that jpay also prints those messages and sends them via snailmail.
Well, he told me in his last letter that I can use Jpay.com. Is it possible for him to reply to me via Jpay.com?

And he can't reply to Emailingaprisoner.com itself?

Like, via snail mail? Because it usually takes his letters like 3 weeks to get here.
No your penpal can not reply via email on emailing a prisoner.com. This website prints off your letter and then sends it via snailmail. Your pal has to reply via snailmail as well.
As far as I know there are no other websites that offer payment via paypal.
And I highly doubt that DR prisoners have acces to jpay (the one website that allows inmates to send emails). this is usually for lower security facilities.
