Hi, everybody
I put this topic here because I didn't want to clog the main section. So guys, I have some difficulties with letters by mail, because my PP is in Nebraska and I have to say that in the official department website are listed some too general rules about the content (for example, no substances, violent topics) but I didn't read the rules for the material of letters, if you can write double sided, if you can color with pastels, if you can send postcards outside or inside the envelope etc..
On the internet I found an image of an example of a mailroom rejection letter, where the reasons for rejection are listed and where next to it the mailroom puts the crosses but it dates back to 2001. T
These rules say no stationary white, etcetera... (and this kind of rules is what I need, because they are more specific, I'm going to send an envelope with a letter and two A4 sheets double sided of colored images printed on the internet and a screenshot of the forum with your greetings but I don't know if they will be allowed, because the images with texts on jpay aren't allowed , and I don't know if they behave differently with mails, I read about some people on the forum who printed people's answers here for birthdays and delivered by mail) but I can't rely on such an old document.
I've contacted several times the email address of the public information officer who gives this kind of information but she's always too generic, she just told me "you can print items and don't stick or paste things and you should be ok" I know they have a lot of work and I wouldn't want to bore them.
They always answer me in a generic way and send me back to their official website. The generic rules can be, no maps, no markers, no glue, no glitter. I tried to call them but on the specific questions they told me that they have to evaluate when the letter arrives.
Do any of you have any experience with facilities in Nebraska?

I found this on the Nebraska (corrections.nebraska.govt) website which is a generic mail guide for all Nebraska corrections facilities, with a disclaimer that each individual facility is different with their mail procedures, as are all prisons basically. Laws unto themselves.

1) Inmate resource centers.
Inmates may receive photographs through U.S. Postal Mail Service or the contracted electronic system. Photographs or electronically transmitted screen shots sent that do not meet the below criteria will not be forwarded to the inmate:
a) No hand signs: including peace signs and middle fingers
b) No items that depict violent or illegal activity
c) No pictures of individuals with large amounts of money
d) No items that might incite violent or illegal activity
e) No nude or partially nude males or females, including infants/newborn pictures, and including such drawings/cartoons
f) No individual clothed in panties/underwear, bras sheer negligees or nightgowns, including bathing suits, for adults and children
g) No clothing that would be deemed unacceptable for wearing in public
h) No sexual gestures, even when clothed
i) No drug use
j) No images of offenders or offender information
k) No images of social media or text
l) Screen shots shall not contain any text

So if you're going to want to put text from here on the forum I suggest you copy and paste what was said and put it into a word document rather than screenshot it directly from the website as it's likely to get rejected.
