Hello all!
Really sorry if this has been asked before, it's a bit hard to surf the forums from a phone.
I've looked around and haven't seen the ok on drawings. I have and haven't truthfully. There was somewhere that denied even crayon drawings and so on but I think they claimed it to be one of the most strict prisons in the US.
I'm thinking of writing- well going to actually :D
I wanted to know if anyone knows if drawings are allowed to regular inmates, I think death row is strict.
When I draw I ink the picture and use Prismacolor and Copic pencils/markers. I was thinking of adding a drawing on the letter or a picture. Also like to create my own cards!
What are your thoughts? I checked the websites and they don't really give me any help. I'm going to write to Connecticut, Oregon and Maryland. Hoping for a reply from one!

Melt crayons, add liquid meth or other drug, let solidify, draw picture, send to prison, prisoner intakes crayon, gets high.

Hi smear iv just answered ur thread on san quentin mail petition about drawings as i write a guy in s/q too.
I was wondering the same thing...what can the drawings be made with? I want to send one to a death row inmate at San Quentin...
When I called the facility to ask the rules (Oregon) the clerk added that I shouldn't send too much things with crayon on them. Crayon???
It didnt' hit me until later, i was busy thinking about the other things she told me, but later, I had to wonder. What is up with crayon?
Is it okay to use ink or pencil, but not pastels or oils?
Or has someone found a way to send drugs or explosives in crayon drawings?
No answers, I'm afraid, just more questions.
