According to the Colorado Department of Corrections,
"Any other person(s) who have become acquainted with an offender in any manner during the course of the offender's incarceration WILL NOT be allowed to visit."
So, this means that if I wanted to visit my PP... I couldn't ? :(

Sorry this is an old topic but...

My PP is in Colorado and I'm Europe so I'm not planning to visit him anytime soon, but should it happen, I just realized I wasn't even allowed to see him !!! :'(

How can they make so stupid laws? I feel so sad it's not even a possibility.

Now, I know people who managed to see their PP in Colorado but I don't know how they did it.

Well, it would be a little difficult to discuss it with him, if the prison is going over our letters anyway, wouldn't it ?
Sigh. How lame.

There are ways of talking about things in your letters so that no one will catch on... if he is smart he will know what Im talking about.

Not trying to get you in trouble but im just saying, its been done before. ;)

You could say you knew him before if you wanted.. how would they ever know? I know people who have done this and gotten away with it. Just be careful and discuss with HIM your options.

It does sound that way unfortunately. A lot of prisons won't allow you to visit unless you knew them prior to incarceration, which really sucks! I've read about ppl telling lies on their visit form to get around it, but it's always a huge risk to take.
