Hi. So I recently wrote to a prisoner in Texas and received an email from him mum today with a link to a website and message asking if I can click on the link to arrange a call. I'm just wondering whether it's usual for family members to make contact also? Thank you. :)

I would say that is a bit weird. If you talk for ages, it isn't unheard of to be in contact with family but not really that soon and also messaging out of the blue is also not common. It's not a red flag or anything though :) I would just decide what you want to do/feel comfortable with and then communicate that to both sides.
Hey Vikki, to me that's unusual to be contacted by family. Maybe other people have different experiences on here.
