The inmate I wrote is in Florida and I was able to find them on JPay, although I have read Florida inmates can not access internet, and it doesn't mean they actually have a JPay account? Is this true? Will the letter be printed out and given to them? I wrote my return address in the letter as well.

Also, I read that the regulations in Florida are strict. You can't mention you found them online? Anything else I should know?

Thanks in advance!

I don't have a pp in FL, so I can't tell anything about state regulations there.

If you found him on Jpay, Jpay should tell you, whether it's one way or two-way messaging.

I have an IL pp who can send emails, but not through jpay, but another provider (connectnetwork). And I use jpay regularly for a pp in TX. He gets the jpays & photos printed out, but can only reply via snailmail.

If you wrote your return address into the letter, there won't be much of a problem, I guess.

Thank you!!!

I wrote an email/letter through the WAP email option but I did not put my return address because it automatically said "Your letter will look like this"

Will they not be able to see it? I didn't write it in myself and now I feel like all of that was for nothing. :(

You did give an address when you registered here, didn't you? So, WAP is likely to use this one.

I don't know if it will be sent correctly. When Istarted writing & used the WAP email option for initial contact, I got a confirmation email, saying sth. like: "Thank you for your email to xy." I don't know whether it still works that way, as I didn't pick anyone new since last May. I heard there were problems with the email option after the forum's update, but I don't know whether it has been fixed.

Best thing would probably to write an email to WAP and ask if they received the letter. Or just write it again and send it via snailmail yourself to the inmates address given. Might actually be even faster...

You're welcome! I know how many questions I had when I started, so always happy to lend a hand (or an ear), if I can.

I happen to have 2 loved ones in Florida. One in general population and one on Death Row. Both have a tablet and both have acces to Jpay. Although I must admit that Gen Pop is usually way faster with delivering emails than DR. DR is just HORRIBLE. I got an email last wednesday from my pp that he got 5 of my emails at once and that he would reply to them, but I haven't gotten ANY response yet so far. Whereas the Gen Pop emails come through within like an hour or so.

Hello! Yes I have noticed through JPay that the letters are usually sent pretty quick if there is no image, or if the email is short. Also, I have a PP in Florida and now I can’t find him on this site any longer. What could that mean? I have no received a letter for almost two weeks.

Have any of you ladies began to develop feelings for a PP? I have one that I am writing and although we are in different states we seem to have the same view on wanting a relationship with someone. Is it taboo that I am hoping when he is realeased that in fact a relationship will come? Any advise?
