New to this: initial contact

I have always thought about writing to an inmate, so decided this year to give it a go and have sent off a couple of initial emails.
Can anyone confirm what dates WAP forwards them on as I have seen a couple of different date ranges.

WAP forwards initial e-mails on the 7th as well as the 23rd of the month. Because they send the printed e-mails by post from Florida, it takes, depending on the State where the inmate is incarcerated, 1 to 3 business days for those letters to arrive at his or her institution of incarceration. Add to that 3-5 business days for processing within the institution of incarceration. In short: the inmate you have written will receive your letter in 4 to 8 business days after the 7th or the 23rd of the month.
