Hi there,

I am new here, I want to write an intmate, I have been contamplating this for years now. I was typing the message and all, but then i thought, how is this person going to write back to me? Do I have to write my adress in the lettre or does it come with my info from my profile?

Sorry if I have overlooked something, but I could not find the awnser on my own. Hope someone can help me out, so I can start the writing with someone.

Thank you in advance,

Laura

It is also a good idea to put their name and inmate number on each page. Top left corner. That way if it is separated each page can be deleved.

@Dodieann: It is! Here's how to make a profile for your son: https://writeaprisoner.com/inmate-new-listing

Good luck!

In my experience, the prison will not accept it if your name and address is not in the upper left corner.

I’m just trying to post my son ( who is in prison) address on here so that someone might write him. I thought this  site was so someone would write a prisoner.

Most inmates can only reply via “snail mail” in order for them to write you back, you must include a mailing address in your message so they know where to send it.

Hope that helped!

if you use the WAP emailfunction, I would still put my address inside the message as the mail doesn't always show the addressing correctly. If you've written a handwritten letter your address must go on the envelope and I would put it in the first letter as well for safety reasons, as not all facilities hand out the envelopes to the inmates, so you just want to make sure they get it.
