I am just wondering how long does it take a potential new pen pal to receive your email? Do they get it the same day Write A Prisoner sends out the email to the prison? Is it electronic? Does the prison treat it like the usual mail it has to go through before the potential pen pal can receive it? Thanks for any info received.

From what I gather the emails go out on the 4th and 20th of each month. I contacted my PP's this way and it took a month to hear back from them. Then again I'm in the U.K so probably took longer than if you were in the U.S.
If you sent it through this site it will go out either in the first week or the third. They are not sent by email but by regular mail from what I gather. So if it gets posted to your pal on the 4th of the month it may be a week or more when they recieve it depending on how fast their mail room is!!
