I am new to this site. I wanted to let those reading this know that I have a reentry program in Cleveland, Ohio that is designed to help the family and the inmate upon release. For the family, there is assitance available during the incarceration of their loved one. For the inmate, there are reentry services available to help them with their reintegration. I am hoping that this will reach someone who can use our assistance. I have a loved one who is incarcerated for a life sentence and I have dedicated myself to helping those on the outside who love someone on the inside.

Wish there were more dedicated people such as yourself. I'd like to do something like this myself someday.

Wow.
Wish there were people like you in Arizona.
What YMI said; dedicated people such as yourself.

Goodluck with everything! And thanks from many in there already ;)

Thank you so much for the kind words of support. It isn't easy doing what I do, but it's rewarding. I hope that you have a great day, consider yourself blessed for being able to see another day, especially a day where you have your freedom. Take care and please feel free to hit me up if you need someone to chat with.

Thank you for your kind words of support. I am dedicated to doing what I have been called to do. If you have a loved one or know of someone who is incarcerated, know that your letters and support of their situation is very important to them. Doing that is a major part of the reentry process, because it gives the inmate a sense of support on the outside, and believe me, many of them long to have that. Take care and I will keep you in my prayers. Please keep in touch.

It's very nice to find people this involved. Are there local or national groups like your own that you work with? It would be very nice to network these worthy causes. I have come across a number of groups through the years that are incredibly supportive of inmates and their families in a one on one style approach, but most don't have a Web presence. It would be great to get all of you guys under one umbrella with contacts, services, etc. I’m not sure if such a list exists.

Keep up the good fight on the front line, my friend!

Yes, I network with a number of other organizations in my area. It isn't common to see reentry programs on the web because many of the programs that deal directly with inmates work on a pre-release basis. These inmates are primed for release through reentry while they are still incarcerated. I am seriously considering posting a web page, as I have had so many people ask if I have a webpage. I will be conducting a wrap around fair/job fair in my area over the next few weeks which will provide families and offenders with the tools that they need to survive the reintegration process. I have found a couple of organizations on Twitter and LinkedIn that are national. I am currently researching President Obama's Second Chance Act to see how I can broaden my program on a wider scale with money from the progam.
