my love one in mexican Jail

Hi guys

I am from Australia, and i currently have an sweet fioncee in mexican Jail, doing his time; hopefully one day i would go to mexico and visit him, i am wondering how is the visits is like and can an fioncee can go an see them or they need to be an close family member, like mother, siblings etc. as we have not meet yet but i am hoping to save money to get over there!! 

He does not really want to me to see him like this, and told me to wait for him to come out, but really i would like to suprise him, when the borders are open to fly overseas!.
