Can you send books to inmates? If so, what genres are allowed? Do they have to be sent directly from Amazon or can I have it sent to my house and then send it to the prisoner?
It depends on the institution. Some will accept Amazon. Some accept Books a million. Some accept Barnes an Noble. Also some only accept paperback and new. Be careful on Amazon because some books sold are "like new" and might not be accepted. Most jails make them come from a company and you can't mail them. Its best to just call the jail and they will tell you the rules.

Hi, not sure on the genres allowed, but you do have to order directly through Amazon (paperback only) and send directly to the inmate.
