I'm taking a poll....
My little man is five. He still kisses me on the mouth. It occurred to me today that i never see the other kids at his school do that with their moms, it's always just a hug and maybe a cheek kiss. I'm not at all forcing him to do it either, he puckers up and expects it. I sent out a mass text to my friends and their thoughts were split down the middle - some said it's weird at this age, others said that as long as he wants to, it's just fine. Admittedly, the ones who said it was weird are mostly either not parents or only have little girls - i don't know if that factors in somehow.
So....thought from you lovelies?

I think it's cute :)
The little boy I nanny for is 2, and he loves kisses...I don't think it's weird..It's not like you are forcing him to do it :)
I have 3 boys, my youngest going on 12 still kisses me on the lips, a quick peck, but the others are older and do not...... Who cares where they kiss you really, cheek or lips, so long as they care enough to do either.
I got 2 boys. now 24 and 20 and they still give me a quick peck on the lips. Ive never thought of it as wierd. its not is it?
I have 2 son's and like all mothers and there kids we have our ups and downs, however when we are speaking I do get a kiss either lips or cheeks, the spot does not matter, just as long as they care enough to kiss you
Ive always personally been a cheek kisser to my parents. But that's just me.
If you're not forcing it and it's all his choice then don't worry about it! At least he's still giving you kisses in front of other kids! lol Wait till it becomes uncool :D
Personally I don't kiss my parents, just hug them occasionally. On my dad's side of the family, they all kiss on the mouth. It's a southern thing I think.
