getting a response depends on when you have written your pp,also have you send a letter or by a wap email...
wap is just sending these emails twice a month 4th and 20th.
And oversea mails takes a bit longer (7-10 days).

I know how you feel...
I've got already two pps but their letters seem to have got lost, I know one has written (we also e-mail) and now I'm getting really worried because it's been almost 3 weeks... good thing, you wrote because I need to vent too ! LOL
We email almost every day but a letter is so much better !
and I also wrote to two new pps a few days ago .. but I won't get an answer before the 7th or 8th of December so I'm not really thinking about it ... but I will get nervous too ! The first letter always seem to take ages to get there ! LOL

... and it will get worse LOL
My bf writes as often as he can. Still it's not nearly enough for me. Every day without a letter from him is a lost day. My family and my friends even can tell if he wrote or not just by looking into my face. 3 days without a letter and I get *****y ... me is such a bad girl roflmfao.
Oh, and I began to hate sundays. it's at-home day for the mailman (gosh, these guys don't need a free day, they should work on sundays too LOL)

Thank God i'm not the only one waiting for what seems like forever :D
SandyF, a question, how come some inmates are allowed to use e-mail? Is it in certain prisons or what? And how often do they get to check their email?
Thanks again, you guys are the best! :)

MichelleOfSweden I am not Sandy but to answer your question email to the prisoner is something Write A Prisoner does for them for 1 email to kinda like break the ice. They send the first email to them from you to get the ball rolling to let the pen pal know someone wants to be their new pen pal that's why they ask you to place your home or p o box on the letter so the person can send you a snail mail letter back and that starts the new friendship. You can not continue to use the email back an forth are they will stop you from using the service.

Can I ask something? About few weeks ago, I wrote to an inmate using WAP introduction letter. It should have been sent to them on 20th Nov. But now I checked on this website, he still on "needs mail" mode. So it means my letter hasn't reached him. What's wrong?
