Hi there, Tracey from Melbourne Australia here. I was just wondering what is the usual wait time for the first letter? I have written to a couple, the first one I have been waiting for 6 weeks, and the second two weeks, but I know the second one will take a while before there is a reply. Thanks!

While waiting you can check if their facility has email and if they do you can try to reach them that way.

Fellow Aussie here. I find the letters sent from America usually take from 4-6 weeks to reach me from the postmarked date. Sending a letter from Australia can take the same amount of time to reach them. I did have one that took 11 months to reach me but that is obviously an abnormality. Patience is key while waiting for the letters between both countries at the moment. I don't think letters have been cancelled from the US, I think it just parcels although I could be wrong. I am still waiting on a parcel that was sent from the US on the 12th of September. Fingers crossed it arrives shortly!
