It seems this is a forum that is not used but nevertheless I will relay news as my pal is held here.

USP Victorville has had a huge amount of stabbings this year, inmate to inmate and inmate guard. It has been on and off lockdown consistantly and now after trying contolled movement and still having ''incidents'' as they call them they have decided that east and west units do not mix, so it is really super restricted movement.

The education dept has monitors for inmates to email but that is in another building and with controlled movement, inmates have to be where they are for an hour. Since this new restriction I have hardly heard from my pal as its hard to get to education department to email and today he called with good news which is rather unbelievable.

They are installing 5 monitors for emailing in every unit, good news actually but clever of the feds, eventually I think USP Victorville will be on continous lockdown like most other federal prisons.

hi! USP Victorville is on a lockdown since May 11th. It is unkown when this lockdown will be lifted. Lockdowns vary in time. I think this one will last at least for another week.

Hello all.....
I have a good friend in victorville usp that I communicate with daily.
I have not heard from him in a week, and I was wondering if anyone new if there was a lockdown right now or had any info?
And also how long do lockdowns usually last there??
Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Hi Waldron,

Thanks for the information on Victorville. One of the guys I just wrote is housed there. It sounds like a really rough and frightening place.
