ACT UP is a diverse, non-partisan group of individuals united in anger and committed to direct action to end the AIDS crisis. Includes information about HIV/AIDS and HEPATITIS C in New York State's Prisons, which according to the U.S. Department of Justice, is the state with largest known infection rate of 7,000 inmates.
HIV Plus is a bimonthly publication focused on research and treatment issues. The December 1999/January 2000 issue focuses on prisons. It includes articles on segregation, privatized prison health care, models of good practice, activism, etc.
