Saying Farewell to a Friend

Posted on Sunday, April 14th 2019
Please join us in honoring the legacy of a giant in the world of human rights and human decency. Randall Berg and the Florida Justice Institute he founded have been our strongest allies. If you know someone who is or has been incarcerated, Randy was one of their strongest allies, too. We are all deeply saddened that Randy has passed out of this life. We are better for having known him, and the world will be worse off with his passing. I knew Randy for seventeen years. The first time I ever met him face to face was in Tallahassee in 2003. We went there to protest a proposed rule by the Florida...

One More Post About Stan Lee

Posted on Sunday, November 18th 2018
Hello true believers, Stan Lee was doing the right thing long before it was popular. And while Stan may not have discriminated against people, I believe he still had two columns for everyone - at least he did in his comics: the good guys and the bad guys. His comics had both, and his characters were free to crossover from one side to the other whenever they wanted. Oftentimes the line was gray. We are implementing some exciting new features, and we look forward to sharing details soon. Thank you so...

Underage Sex & Prison

Posted on Thursday, February 1st 2018
Seniors in high school, college freshmen, in fact, anyone 18 or older in America - DO NOT HAVE SEXUAL RELATIONS with anyone who is legally too young for you, even if it's consensual! Every week we hear from young men serving years in prison for this. I'm going to tell you what your parents should be telling you. The state does not care if you attend the same school, make good grades, love her, are on your way to a wonderful career, are two months away from being legal, got her pregnant and want to be a dad, can't get girls your own age, know other people doing the same thing, or any other...

Welcome Home Kits

Posted on Thursday, February 1st 2018
Ok, as I mentioned, we're upgrading servers, and we're including some new content upgrades with it. You may see some new links and references that aren't quite live, or they may be in beta mode. Please disregard these, as we're getting the actual sections up as fast as we can. One new section is Welcome Home Kits. These are kits that we're donating to ex-offenders on their way home. They're designed to give these people some basic tools to start anew with toiletries, bus schedules, duffel bag, etc., and they will be mailed directly to the prisons. While we're donating these bags ourselves...
